The information comes from the official Verizon’s webpage where we can see that the new Android 4.4.4 update for LG G2 device comes only with minor changes especially developed to improve the performances of the smartphone.
The new update brings enhancements such as an improved connectivity when roaming in Puerto Rico, the possibility to opt in for the Advanced Calling 1.0 service, enables 4G LTE Data Roaming Globally, replaced ISIS Wallet with Softcard, Google Mobile Service Apps updated, improved stability of HD Voice and Video calls, updates My Verizon Mobile for Advanced Calling Self Provisioning. In addition, the new Android 4.4.4 update also comes with updates for numerous Google applications.
Verizon has yet to officially confirm the availability of the new Android 4.4.4 firmware for its LG G2 device with build number VS98027A and unfortunately we don’t know its size, but as usual we are recommending to use a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to download and install it to avoid unwanted data charges.
However, if you own a Verizon-branded LG G2 device then you should be able to see a system update message in the device’s notification bar. In case the new OTA update fails to appear then you would also want to do a manual verification under Settings > General > About phone > Software updates > Check now.
